How to setup second virtual sensor and set the graph axis’s labels (Example for Titrations) |
|
|
1. Attach the pH sensor to channel 1 and attach the datalogger to the computer via the serial or USB connection. 2. Open the Graph mode. 3. Select the [Display Wizard]. Choose the following:
4. Select the [Tools] menu. Click [Function Wizard] Apply the following:
5. Press [Apply] then [OK]. On the top section of the screen will appear a second sensor box called: "Vol of Acid added (ml)". This is your Virtual Sensor. 6. Press 7. Click anywhere on the graph to record the pH of the base in the flask. If the axis labels are incorrect click the axes' labels to get "pH" on the y-axis and "Vol of Acid added (ml)" on the x-axis. 8. Add 2.0ml of acid and wait for the pH value to stabilise and click anywhere on the graph to record the PH ‘dot’. 9. Double click the "Vol of Acid added (ml)" column to type in the "Acid added (ml)" value. 10. Press [Enter]. Note the first entry will be 0.00ml when no acid has been added. 11. Repeat this procedure until the titration is complete.
The ‘Setup of the Virtual Sensor’ procedure and the way of adding information will work for any other experiment.
